A woman was riding a go-kart in Vietnam before someone crashed into herand sent her flying - but her reaction was rather unexpected. Go-karting is a popular activity which sees people utilise small, lightweight, open vehicles to race around purpose-built tracks and scaled down circuits.
They can be both indoors and outdoors, with the karts equipped with steering wheels, pedals and small engines to give drivers control. There’s varying degrees of seriousness in go-karting, from amateur tracks available for people to utilise for fun, to highly competitive racing leagues and championships with official rules and classes.
The ability to drive smoothly and correctly while correctly gauging intricate and complex tracks at high speed can lead to accidents - whether in a professional or novice setting.

One woman was in a small go-kart in Vietnam, racing with her friends. The group were kitted out with helmets equipped with cameras to capture their experiences.
As the woman turned on the twisting, winding track, the person behind her bumped the back of her kart. This sent her flying out of the little vehicle as she landed on the floor, skidding and rolling over several times.
The person who crashed into the back of her then rode up over the top of her body.
Their point-of-view of the disastrous outcome was captured on film and uploaded to TikTok, including the woman’s unexpected reaction.
Instead of screaming or crying, she burst into laughter, clasping her hands to her mouth as she looked up at her friend who remained in their kart on top of her.
Fellow TikTok users were keen to share their thoughts. One person stated: “Wait that was like kinda entirely [your] fault”.
Another said: “Wait we need her POV [point-of-view]”, while a third joked: “you can’t park there mate”.
Someone else shared their shock over reaction, asking: “SHE’S OK?”
Another said: “Hahaha and she’s even laughing if I were her I would cry”.
Someone else also wrote: “Most will laugh or something else, cause of adrenaline”, while another added: “How high is her pain tolerance. I would cry!”
A further person probed: “Is she still here with us”, while another quipped: “Did uh.. did we just witness a murder?”
Many people drew comparisons to the much-loved Mario Kart racing games by Nintendo. The games see players competing in go-kart races on elaborate and themed tracks.
They’re often able to use ‘power-up’ items to alter their abilities and give them an advantage in the race.
The games feature a string of characters from the Mario series, all competing on a variety of tracks from the Mario universe.
Given the popularity of the games, it’s unsurprising that there are many go-kart races which have drawn inspiration from them, and that many social media users were keen to point out the similarities.
One person said: “Even though it’s real life Mario kart you shouldn’t drive like you were in Mario kart because it’s real life Mario kart”.
Several others simply commented “Mario Kart”, with a crying laughing emoji.
